Last week, I went to see my FAVORITE BAND OF ALL TIMES! ACDC! And they rock! I don't care how old they are, they rock! I heard rumors that Angus Young is actually 66 (heard somewhere else that he was 53). In any event, you can tell he's over the hill from his tiny little man-boobs. But they still rock! Did I mention they rocked?!
I was sooo excited! I felt totally in the moment, which is somewhat hard to come buy these days. I seriously felt like a 14-year old awkward pimply boy with long greazy hair and a black concert t-shirt. Maybe that's too descriptive... And it was so loud - the chest pounding kind of loud. They shot off 6 cannons for "Those About to Rock." It took me a full three days to regain my hearing, but it was worth it.
The people watching was good too. You had everything from the groupie-turned-hag to the guy-with-a-tie to the 12-year-old-boy-in-amazement. There were even some, "Did he rent her or is she his daughter?" A funny point - I needed 4 beers for our group, but the beer people only sell 2 at a time. I traded with the guys in line behind me. I got 2 more beers, they got my earplugs. Good stuff!
In case you're not sure what you are looking at in this photo... their set had a huge locomotive. For She Shook Me All Night Long (my fav song of all times), they inflated a 7-story chubby girl with huge bazzungas who straddled the locomotive. Somehow they got her foot to tap to the beat. The concert rocked! I'm considering going as Angus Young for Halloween this year. Stay tuned.
